Starting with the first Days of 76′ in 1923, Deadwood has celebrated this rodeo event every year in late July. Come join us this year from for Deadwood South Dakota’s annual Days of 76′

Opening with a main street parade of rodeo participants and floats, Deadwood begins
the Days of 76′ the way Deadwood knows how to: with a party. The local casino’s are in full swing for sure, but the fairgrounds just north of town is where the action takes place. Recently inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame, Deadwood’s Days of 76′ attracts some of America’s best riders and is a show you can’t miss. With twelve rodeo of the year awards since 1980, come see America’s best (and local talent) compete in a Deadwood tradition since 1923!

Deadwood’s New Days of 76 Museum

You can’t miss this! Deadwood’s new Days of ’76 Museum now completed with over 32,000 square feet it features American Indian and Old West Pioneer artifacts, artwork, firearms, photos and exhibits that display a selection of the area’s past. The museum also features a huge collection of stagecoaches and horse drawn vehicles that is recognized as the largest in the state. With it’s more than five million dollar renovation starting in 2011, it’s a collection of American West history that simply can’t be missed.
